For a young baseball fan in the mid-1990s, this would have been a great grab — the Sports Illustrated for Kids brand meant professional photos and strong production, and trivia-plus-puzzles is a reliable format for sports-obsessed kids. But three decades of baseball history have passed since publication, and trivia tied to a specific era ages badly. Worth borrowing from a library if the child loves baseball history, but there are more current options in the nonfiction sports shelf today.
