Sort of Forever

πŸ‘ Worth It

Sally Warner does something brave here: she refuses to soften death for the sake of young readers, and the result is one of the more honest middle-grade novels about losing a friend. Cady's voice is real and Kirkus was right to call it simultaneously funny, painful, and uplifting. Parents of younger or more sensitive children will want to read it alongside their kids, but for a child who needs a book that tells the truth about grief, this is genuinely excellent.
