👍 Worth It
Spacebusters does what DK Readers do best — take a genuinely thrilling historical story and make it visually and narratively gripping for independent readers. The space race narrative from Kennedy's pledge to Apollo 11 is inherently compelling material, and Philip Wilkinson's writing is accurate and well-paced for the Level 3 audience. It is dated past the ISS era and the format limits depth, but as an introduction to one of history's great adventures for a seven-to-ten-year-old, it is hard to beat.
