For babies and young toddlers, the combination of a fire-engine shape, siren sounds, flashing lights, and a familiar Spot character hits every sensory target β this is a novelty gift book that does what novelty gift books are supposed to do. There's almost no narrative here, so it won't build vocabulary or story comprehension, but as a tactile engagement tool for under-threes it works well.
