Stanley at School

Bill Slavin's illustrations carry this one beautifully — watching four dogs barrel through a school lunchroom with no idea what any of it is for is exactly the kind of physical comedy that makes little kids collapse laughing. It's a perfect back-to-school read-aloud, and the outsider-dog perspective is a genuinely clever way to make the familiar feel magical to preschoolers. Series fans won't find surprises, but the execution is warm and fun.
