Children's ✦ Penny’s Take
Starro and the Space Dolphins
Art Baltazar · 2014
70/100
👍 Worth It
Art Baltazar does one thing and does it very well — bright, bouncy, character-stuffed comics that make superhero stories feel safe and fun for the youngest readers. The plot is as thin as tissue paper, but at this age and format that's almost the point; it's about the visual energy and the animal heroes more than any narrative complexity. A solid library pick for a superhero-obsessed early reader who isn't ready for the real comics yet.
