Children's ✦ Penny’s Take
Tell Me a Season
Mary McKenna Siddals · 1997
82/100
👍 Worth It
Mary McKenna Siddals's debut is a quiet gem — spare poetic text paired with Petra Mathers's clean, warm paintings makes it one of those rare board books that feels genuinely crafted rather than produced. Major review outlets from Kirkus to Booklist praised its elegance, and the tiny square format is exactly right for very small hands. It does almost nothing except introduce the seasons beautifully, which for a baby book is plenty.
