A well-intentioned UK curriculum reference that fulfilled its purpose when secondary students needed a structured decade overview for GCSE work in the early 1990s, but it is now significantly dated and was always narrow in its reach beyond British classrooms. There is nothing wrong with the book, but there is very little reason for today's reader to seek it out when better resources exist. A quiet archive piece.
