Three complete Angels Unlimited adventures in one volume is excellent value for middle-grade readers, and Mel Beeby is a funny, warm narrator who makes time-traveling angel missions feel breezy and fun. The Jack the Ripper thread in the second story introduces mild darkness that bears a parental heads-up for younger readers, but overall this is wholesome, inventive, historically curious fiction that earns its UK following.
