A cheerful picture-book comedic premise — rival dinosaurs squabbling over a mystery egg — that lands on a satisfying punch line for the littlest readers. The problem is that almost no critical footprint survives, Val Biro's illustrations are the main draw, and the narrative is paper-thin even by picture-book standards. There are livelier, better-documented choices in the dinosaur-picture-book space.
