The Friendship Bridge
Eight Disney Princesses share a castle, a stream blocks the path to their gardens, and they have to work together to build a bridge. That is the whole story β and for the 4-to-8-year-old reader it is aimed at, that is enough. The teamwork message is clear and positive, the Disney Princess franchise connection will engage young fans immediately, and the World of Reading Level 2 format keeps the text accessible for emerging readers. Illustrations by Ameet Studio carry the familiar characters faithfully. The honest caveat is that the plot is thin even by early-reader standards and driven more by franchise recognition than original storytelling. As a stepping-stone reader for a Disney-loving child just gaining independence with books, it does exactly what it sets out to do.
