Kennedy's Friendship Fairies series has a warm following in Ireland and the environmental camp setting is appealing, but the critical record outside that market is almost nonexistent and the magical content — fairy sisters, magical forest people, a fantastical creature — is underdescribed enough that parents can't fully assess what they're picking up. A reasonable choice for Irish readers already in the series; harder to recommend cold to a new audience.
