This Newbery Honor winner earns its acclaim — a thoughtful, funny, and surprisingly deep look at religious tolerance through three kids of different faiths on the run with a holy dog. The full-cast audio production with period medieval music is a genuine treat that elevates the whole book. Persecution and peril themes run through it, so it fits ages 10 and up best, but this one is absolutely worth the listen.
