A sturdy little faith-based picture book with a suspenseful premise — young Billy must keep the lighthouse burning through a storm alone — and a clear message about courage rooted in prayer. The parent note with Bible passages is a real plus for devotional use in Christian homes. Outside that audience, the explicitly sectarian framing and modest production values limit its reach considerably.
