The contract device is a genuinely clever hook for getting young children invested in their own behavior, and pairing it with Tate Nation's illustrations gives it some shelf appeal. But the limited professional critical coverage and narrow novelty of the concept make it hard to rank above a solid competitor in the manners-book space.
