The Mermaids of Eldoris

PJ Ryan's mermaid series is light and fun with enough forward momentum to keep young readers turning pages, and six books gives a series-hungry reader something to work through. But as a self-published series without professional editorial or critical review, the quality floor is uncertain, and the formulaic structure across six nearly identical titles will wear thin. A better-developed mermaid fantasy series with editorial backing would be the stronger pick.
