Three distinct freshman voices give this sorority opener some genuine energy, and the diabetes subplot handles a health challenge with more sensitivity than most YA gives it credit for. But the critical record is thin, the sorority setting narrows the appeal, and the romance subplots are formula-standard for the genre.
