Barbara Steiner was a prolific and capable writer in the 1990s Avon Flare horror line, and readers with nostalgia for that era's Point Horror / Fear Street style will find this sequel does what it promises. The problem is how niche that appeal is: no professional review trail, a familiar slasher-sequel formula, and very little to distinguish it for readers who didn't grow up with the series.
