A broad, cheerful reference that covered a lot of ground for grades 4-6 back in 1998, and the cross-disciplinary approach and simple experiments still have appeal in principle. But twenty-five years is a long time in science education, and without recent reviews or updates it's hard to know what's aged poorly. Better options exist for most of these topics today.
