The Horn Book starred review is earned — Sierra's rollicking rhymes turn the alphabet into a cast of naughty, lovable bedtime-stalling characters, and Melissa Sweet's mixed-media illustrations give the whole thing a warm, handcrafted energy. It does two jobs at once (alphabet learning and bedtime story) without feeling like it is trying too hard at either. A genuinely delightful read-aloud that holds up across multiple sittings.
