π Worth It
A genuinely distinctive mystery series ends on a high note with a protagonist unlike anyone else in middle-grade fiction. The funeral parlour setting, psychometric gift, and Scottish kelpie folklore combine into something memorable rather than gimmicky. Best enjoyed after the earlier books, but this is the kind of series conclusion that makes readers glad they came along for the full journey.
