The Superpower of Imagination

The premise is genuinely moving — a teenage volunteer in pediatric cancer research writing a picture book to help ill children find hope through imagination — and the therapeutically sound framing of imagination as a coping superpower is right. But as a debut from an emerging young author with no critical reception yet, the craft is still developing, and the book's value is almost entirely conditional on the reader being a child or family in the pediatric illness world. Within that context it could be quietly powerful.
