The snow-globe-as-trap premise is genuinely imaginative and the Are You Afraid of the Dark franchise had real cultural traction in its day. But licensed tie-in novelizations live or die on execution, and without a single independent review, there's no way to know if this one rises above the formula. Nostalgia collectors will love it; everyone else should look for more assured spooky middle-grade.
