Children's ✦ Penny’s Take
The Terrorist Trap
Shannon Gilligan · 1991
62/100
👎 Skip It
It does what Choose Your Own Adventure is supposed to do — short, punchy, decision-driven, with a premise that feels just dangerous enough to be exciting. But terrorism as a hook, even in 1991, means some parents will want to steer younger readers elsewhere, and the literary substance is exactly as thin as you'd expect from a mid-series CYOA entry. Fine for reluctant readers who love the format; easy to skip for everyone else.
