The Ultimate Girls' Guide to Science

The goal is exactly right — catching girls at the moment they tend to disengage from science and showing them nine disciplines, real female scientists, and hands-on experiments — and the 2003 execution was probably well-timed for its era. The problem is that 2003 is a long time ago in computer science and related fields, and the limited critical record makes it hard to assess how well the content holds up. A 2025 girl browsing the STEM shelves will find more current and better-reviewed options.
