Robert Neubecker's bold, saturated art makes this a genuinely cheerful counting book — monsters that make toddlers giggle rather than hide under the covers. The seasonal limitation is real, but for Halloween-adjacent shelves aimed at the under-five crowd, it's a solid pick.
