A genuinely lovely seasonal picture book where Britta Teckentrup's die-cut artwork does something no photograph could — pulling small hands through layers of forest life. Hegarty's rhymes are easy to memorize and easy to love at bedtime. Perfect for the very young; older preschoolers may outgrow it quickly, but while it fits, it fits beautifully.
