Vietnamese Fables of Frogs and Toads

Two Vietnamese folk tales — one about a frog bride who is secretly a beautiful woman, one about a determined toad who rallies animals to persuade the gods to end a drought — brought to young English-speaking readers by an editor with genuine connection to Vietnamese refugee communities. The multicultural content is enriching and the stories themselves have real charm, but at only two tales the book is very thin, the public review record is nearly empty, and it is most naturally a library find rather than a purchase. Lovely if you come across it; not worth a search.
