A competent workbook series that served classrooms well in its era, using context-rich passages instead of pure memorization — that's the right approach. But 1994 is a long time ago for vocabulary instruction, and workbooks don't age well against current standards and digital resources. Homeschoolers who pick up a used copy may still get value from it, but it's hard to recommend actively seeking this out.
