A 1997 high school textbook does exactly what a 1997 high school textbook is supposed to do, and it did its job well for a generation of students. Today it is primarily a historical artifact — the events of the last three decades are absent, and updated editions and digital resources have replaced it for actual classroom use. Worth owning only if you specifically need that particular edition.
