π Worth It
Judy Baer has been writing warm, honest Christian YA since before the genre had a name, and the Cedar River Daydreams series earned its 1.25 million copies by taking teenage faith crises seriously rather than papering over them. Lexi's world collapsing and her faith bending without breaking is the kind of story faith-oriented families are specifically looking for in the YA space. New readers should start earlier in the series, but within its intended audience this is a reliable, well-crafted pick.
